Biologiczna ochrona roślin / Living organisms in the protection of agricultural production

What is it about:

  • English

All the plants we grow can get sick and be attacked by pests. It is then necessary to act – intervene, fight. But how? What tools we need? The basics of sustainable, responsible and sustainable plant protection activities will be discussed in the webinar.

In the age of the Green Revolution, we were delighted with the possibilities offered by synthetic, chemical means of production. Currently, however, we are aware that the intensive use of all synthetics (in agriculture: fertilizers, pesticides) turns out to be efficient, but for a short time.

Chemization of agriculture caused soil sterilization, loss of biodiversity, increased pest resistance, environmental pollution, which in turn lowered plant resistance and contributed to a decrease in crop quality. We know well that healthy plants are also a healthy consumer. Scientific research confirms that the strategy for plant health should be as follows: prevention – monitoring – intervention, first, if possible, using natural and biological means and ultimately the use of chemical methods.
